Abstract:
This article is an addendum to a recent publication by Chandra et al. [Phys. Rev. D 102, 044035 (2020)]. We present updated results on upper limits on the merger of intermediate-mass black holes (IMBHs) with total mass between 210 M-circle dot and 500 M-circle dot, mass ratio 1 to 7, and generic spins using data from the second Advanced LIGO observing run. Based on our analysis, we place the most stringent of our upper limits, of 0.28 Gpc(-3) yr(-1) on the merger rate density of precessing equal-mass intermediate-mass black holes with total masses of 210 M-circle dot.
