Abstract: Present study is to determine the potential public health risk of climate change parameters (temperature and precipitation) based on its effect on drinking water quality of Narmada River, an important multipurpose river in west India, in the Hoshangabad district, Madhya Pradesh. This study was done by collecting the past data of air temperature and precipitation and analyzing its total coliform impact using the multiple linear regression model. The study found the variation in public health risk towards water borne diseases with variation in the temperature and precipitation with significant risk during monsoon season.
