| Abstract: | Various functionalized 4'-and 4',5'-benzo-18-crown-6 compounds have been synthesized using the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction as a key step. Treatment of the bromobenzocrowns with various arylboronic acids in presence of palladium-catalyst and aqueous Na2CO3 gave the biphenyl-based benzocrowns in good yields. |
