Abstract: The catalytic performance of mesoporous chromium containing MCM-41 molecular sieves was investigated for the oxidation of phenols. The substrate conversion and the product selectivity are remarkably enhanced by ammonium acetate, acetylacetonate treatments of this unique catalyst. In particular, phenol shows excellent results compare to the TS-1 catalyst.
