| Abstract: | A simple method for the synthesis of symmetrical sulfones using rongalite has been developed. Terminally olefinic sulfone derivatives were subjected to ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions to generate cyclic sulfones. ((c) Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2005). |
