Abstract:	The reaction of N, N'-bis(diphenylphosphino) piperzine with elemental sulfur or selenium in toluene under refluxing conditions afforded Ph2P(S)N(C4H8)NP(S)Ph-2 or Ph2P(Se) N(C4H8)NP(Se)Ph-2 in a quantitative yield. The molecular structures were determined by X-ray studies.
