| Abstract: | The reaction of the tellurium containing macrocyclic Schiff base 1 with Pd(PhCN)(2)Cl-2 and NH4PF6 gives the expected cationic complex [Pd(II)1][PF6](2); by contrast the reaction of 1 with Pt(cod)Cl-2 proceeds via novel transmetallation to yield an organoplatinum complex. |
