Abstract:	The reaction of 3,4,5-tris(methylsulfanyl)-1,2-dithiolium iodide with NaBH4 gives a mixture of 4,5-bis(methylsulfanyl)-1,2-dithiole-3-thione 3 (major product) and 2a or 2b (minor product); the crystal structure of 3 is described.
