| Abstract: | In this paper, we address shape control of plate structures by efficient distribution of the piezoelectric actuators. Finite element method is used for structural response of piezoelectric composite plates tinder static loading. An iterative design procedure based on the residual voltages is presented. The procedure aims at minimizing the quadratic measure of the global displacement residual error between the desired and the current configuration. Two numerical examples with simple boundary conditions and loading demonstrating the validity of the concept are presented. |
