| Abstract: | Analysis of electromagnetic fields in electric machines has been traditionally carried out using the Finite Element Method (FEM). However, in the recent past, other meshless numerical techniques have evolved and been successfully applied in electromagnetics, to both high- and low-frequency problems. In this paper, we describe a solution scheme for a low-frequency electromagnetics problem using the wavelet-Galerkin technique. We also illustrate the application of this numerical technique to two example problems, the results of which highlight the feasibility of the technique. |
