| Abstract: | The switching process of the various devices of the power supply feeding a copper vapour type Laser, leads to the generation of conducted EMI. The high speed switching action by thyratron operating at high voltage and current leads to conducted EMI. Simulation of the conducted EMI from a copper vapour Laser has been done using a powerful circuit simulator software SABER. Based on the results obtained by simulation and measurement, it is proposed to design filters that will reduce the conducted EMI to acceptable levels. |
