|Abstract: ||We present here the results on the effect of Cu substitution in DyCo5-xCux (x = 0, 1, 2 3) compounds. studied using structural and magnetization measurements on polycrystalline samples. All the samples Lire ferrimagnetic in nature and the Curie temperature decreases with increase in Cu concentration. The easy magnetization direction at room temperature lies in the ab-plane. which suggests that there is no considerable increase in the axial anisotropy with Cu substitution. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V.
