Abstract: The reaction of di-o-tolyl telluride with palladium acetate provided a novel palladium complex of a tellurenic acid anhydride, (o-tolyl-Te)(2)OPdOAc(2), and a linear trinuclear complex, [Pd(o-tolyl){di-o-tolyl telluride}](2)Pd(mu-OAc)(2). The reaction of di-o-tolyl selenide with palladium acetate affoxded a tetranuclear complex of rare geometry, [Pd(OAc)(mu-Se-o-tolyl)](4).
